i took it off because i wanted to clean the roof better, plus, i don't have any scheduled bike rides until the end of July in MA.
looks odd to me, since i'm so used to having the bike rack on top and having to always be careful with the rear hatch when opening it up. i'll leave it this way until a week before my ride.

LOL. well to be honest...
i use it purely for transporting my bike to the bike events.
yeah, it ruins the lines...but more so, it puts an odd texture on the roof where the rubber part is on the rack.
well, it'll give me some time to clean the rack...and its going back on in 3 weeks. bike season is NOT over. october is my last scheduled ride...although i ride throughout the year...as long as it doesn't fall below 30 degrees F.

difficult to source these days...unless BBS Japan has ramped up production again...
they were discontinued last year...not sure if they are making them again. most 5x100 bolt patterns are now 5x112, so maybe its a dead issue with BBS.
a friend got LM replicas from Hartmann...and they look pretty damn good. side-by-side, if you didn't know what you're looking for, its not all that easy to distinguish from the real mccoy.
i should take a pic of them next to each other. he bought 5, just in case one gets bent for insurance...since apparently, you can even get the replicas anymore. probably a lawsuit from BBS stopped production.

i think i log on more miles on the bike than the car per week....
so far, with the weather so nice, i log in about 160 miles per week on the bike. i would do more days, but that's only 2 days of riding that i have time for.
