Martyn sent it to me as a 'gift'. I'm trying to get the Euro antenna base now! ...
The nice new antenna does not mate to the US antenna base.

Yes! It can! I just took a closer look at it, and the threaded stud comes out....
You can drill and tap the alum. base to fit the antenna base.
I'm on my way the Home Depot now to get a tap!
