Default Jenner & boost gauge installers.. Question about my VDO boost gauge

I received my boost gauge today, and decided to take Jenners advice and buy the needed hardware at home depot (doing tomorrow morning).. This is what I received in the box, just wanted to check and make sure I got everything since there isn't a checklist nor instructions (good thing for AW and VW Vortex).. So for my list of goodies needed for the install I have:
1-T connector measuring 3/16" for the FPR lines and 1/8" (long part of T) for the line going to the gauge..
1 piece 12" long 1/8" hose (inside diameter) line from long part of T to gauge
4 metal clips to secure the hoses
14 gauge wire..
brass fittings to connect hose to the boost gauge

I plan on taking detailed pictures tomorrow incase anyone is interested in a step by step guide.. Now I just need to start building a pod to hold this thing..

Default My advice is get some rubber vacuum hose from Pep Boys

you say the kit had only 12 in of tube supplied you will need at least 3 ft

rubber tubing withstands the engine heat better than nylon and is more flexible

I used a straight barbed fitting off the back of the gauge and the rubber tubing pushes on snug and tight to get a good vacuum seal

Default That or Autometer sells a copper vacuum tube kit for boost gauges.

I've heard it's a bit more accurate.
