Default He either wasn't trying, or didn't want to drive crazy...

Actually it's near impossible to catch up and fly past someone that far ahead unless your car is significantly faster and has MUCH more horsepower. You learn this at the dragstrip, when the start is everything. With performance of the 225TT and the R32 so close, the only way to catch someone that far ahead would be if they let off the throttle. A race is not a race unless both drivers are participating.

I no longer bother with people that try to race through traffic on the freeways out here especially when it endangers others. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in jail for manslaughter after the other driver kills himself or someone in a competition with my car.

You must just be too cool for him to even bother trying.

Default Wow another race story . 110 in a 45 that is safe for everyone on the road .

I think there is something called a race track . That is the place to go if you have to prove something or Impress someone .Did you ever think Maybe he did not play because he had more sense not to endanger his Gf, himself or others . I guess I just don't get it because racing on the streets is so Immature and Juvenile . Fun ? yea until some poor soul pulls out in front of a car going 110 in a 45 or you lose control and cross over the line and hit someone . I just do not see the glory of proving one car is faster than the other while driving on roads with other people who could give a S---. That is how I name it .

Default Ok, to clear things up a bit. At the time of day that this took place traffic was minimal

to say the least. There were four cars on the road, me, him, the van and a car behind me at the stop sign. Another thing is that there were no cross streets for a mile. The setting couldnt have been better. Immature and juvenile? As if you've never done it before, dont talk down to me.

Default So what you're saying is it's impossible in that "ideal" environment

for a kid, animal or driver to enter the roadway without seeing a 110 mph car coming towards them? Umm ok; I/we stand corrected.

Default Good only a minimal chance of killing someone else lol

And yes when I was in high school I did race when I was 18 . Now I have not and will not race. Having a job in the FD I still get to pick up the body parts when people think (The setting couldnt have been better.)I hear the same thing everytime and it gets old. BTW it is Immature and juvenile and I will call it like I see it ,sorry deal with it . It is hard to defend street racing . You made a post and you got my opinion you do not have to like it . I'm moving on. NO hard feelings
