but possibly way too much negative camber.
Have you lowered car?
We have 7500 miles (easy ones) on TTQ with Portenzas with no noticeable shoulder wear.
Yours is not normal.

about 3 months ago when I had 15,000 miles. Yesterday at 21,000 miles I ordered new RE070's.
The problem is most likely overinflation. In my case the outer tread was fine and the inner was smoothed entirely. Each tire wore a bit differently but over the course of 1-2K miles all of the tires eventually wore out in the same - middle tread - area.
To me, it was sijply a signal that I needd new tires anyway... out with the old and in with the new!

if BOTH inside and outside edges are worn, that is UNDERinflation. If just the inside edge is worn then that can either be too much camber, which would be an alignment or normal wear as the TT has a bit of camber built into the car.
Are all 4 corners worn evenly? Have you rotated the tires at least two times to this point?
Mine were bald at 11,500 miles and they were rotated about 4-6 times. All 4 were evenly worn down.

From the Repair CD:
Checking tire wear pattern
- The wear pattern of the front tires indicates whether the toe and camber need checking:
"Feathering" on tread indicates incorrect toe setting.
One - sided tread wear is usually caused by incorrect camber.
FWIW: If you let feathering go too long, it will wear off all tread, and there will be no more 'feathers'.
