Default Let me guess..... you want Marvin Harrison?

I will check the offer (sorry I didn't formally reply to your last one) but if it's for Harrison, I won't agree to it unless Kurt Warner, Payton Manning, Marshall Faulk or maybe Brian Griese is on the other end. I might not even give him up for one of those guys.

Harrison leads the NFL in TDs and is my only legitimate stud. He's pretty much untouchable but I don't believe in ignoring offers (like AgS4) so I'll take a peek at it......

Lamar Smith plus a WR is a pretty fair offer. He's a top 10 RB. I can offer 'cause I'm deep at RB.

Default I might have a counter offer for you later today -

I took a look and didn't reject it out of hand. I can't look into it right now but will do a little research over lunch and get back to you.

Default Okay, but don't dismiss it outright...

Smith is one of those rare RBs who can catch passes and run. Alexander is generally considered to be a top 15 WR, when healthy.

Alexander has been bothered by nagging injuries for much of the season. However, none of these dings appears to be the kind that is serious.

I'd like to improve at WR, but I'm not going to give the farm away to do that. I'm already giving up a lot by offering Smith.

Default Definately don't give him away. I might have my WR depth back soon,

but won't know for sure until next week. Of course I run the risk that maybe Lamar will be able to hold onto the ball this weekend. )<

Default Don't worry, I won't. I try to do trade offers that are fair to both parties...

Usually, I get ridiculous counters in return and end up rejecting them.

Default I'm not dismissing outright....

I'm a bit concerned about Smith's recent games - he's got great talent but isn't playing as well as he did last year. He's definately an improvement for me at RB but Harrison's departure wouls decimate my WRs. Alexander is a big gamble. You have the best WR core in the league right now and Harrison will put you way over the top (especially since you'll be doubling up on points w/ Manning).

I'll take a better look and see if I can come up with something.

Default Also, it's not like I'm trying to unload Smith...

There's a certain comfort that comes with having 3 top 10 RBs on your team. Not only can I pick who to start based on matchups, but if one goes down with an injury, I have another very strong starter ready to step up and take his place.

If I trade Smith away, that really limits my options, and I'm in a lot more trouble if an injury occurs. It's a lot easier replacing an injured WR than a starting STUD RB, in my view.

However, if I can get the quality that I'm looking for at WR, I could be persuaded to take the risk.

I've certainly learned that you can never be too deep!
