tons of rattling from the panel over the cd changer... I did some searchin and found your threads about the 17mm "kobalt" brand socket that fits over the striker pin....

thanks for your informative posts. i finally found one at lowes. i'm gonna try to track down the damn rattling tomorrow morning.

do you use dynomat?

since i've had my aftermarket stereo my car has just turned into the loosest rattle-box. i laugh at some peoples posts about creaks, squeaks and ticks... my car is so damn loud i NEED 2 amps and 2 12"s just to cruise down the road in peace.

anyuway... thanks again for your posts... your stereo is killer.

-Glad you found the socket. Strange how others used to fit, but don't anymore!

-I agree. VW/Audi doesn't know how to build a squeak-free machine!
