Default Just finished taking a drive with the new samco intake hose

and DAYMM.. Maybe its because I haven't driven my car inawhile, but it feels like she is running a lot better..

WIth the stock intake hose I was holding 17.5psi, and spiking around 21psi..

With the Samco Intake hose I am spiking at or above 25psi, and Im holding 23psi until 5000rpms, at which point it starts to drop and by 6000rpms boost is holding at 20psi..

Some other things, that I *felt*.. Less lag and much smoother when doing a 1st to 6th gear run.. I did multiple full throttle 10-130 runs, and it feels a lot smoother after shifting into each gear.. Im a pretty happy guy.. Now its time to get on the track and see what it really did..

Default Oh.. Install was a major PAIN IN THE ****

Took about 4 hours... The biggest problem wasn't getting the damm hose off the turbo (I pulled it off with my bare hands in about 2 mins), it was trying to figure out how to get my hands down in that space.. My problem is my damm arms are so fat that it was a problem wiggling them into any tight area.. What I ended up doing was removing all the intake hosing and piping after the turbo along with the strut bar.. With that removed I still had problems getting my hands down there, and got scraped up big time.. Its a real pain to work in that tight area, but after awhile you get the hang on it..

4 hours?? I think I'd rather pay someone to do it (but not 4 hours worth)

Default ...

You don't need a rob.. I pull the damm hose off with my bare hands in 2 mins.. the tough part for a guy of my size, is being able to work your hands and arms in such a tight area..
