Not so long ago, I think that Glen aka VenTTed was the unfortunate receipient of a similar ticket.

Default No, but i can tell you that over 100mph is $1700

i got caught at 140mph and the ticket is called,
"exceeding 100mph" and the god damn thing is $1700. i'd guess and say $500

Default Ouch! What did that do to your insurance, or could you do traffic school? also is the fine the same

for any speed over 100? 101mph same as 140mph doesn't seem fair. I guess i got lucky then as the V-1 gave me some warning, I was doing over 100. What state are you in?

Default I'm in California. fine is same if it's above 100

but most CHP might be alittle friendlier and lower it to keep you from having the heart attack i did. but 40mph is a hard sell. traffic school is out, and it's a 2pt ticket.

Did 93 in 70, about $136, reduced to $60 at court.

Default As an ex-cop, I can tell you that...

100+ mph is one of those things where you're pretty much never going to get a break.

As an officer, I was generally pretty cool about warnings, but 100+ mph is an area where I didn't know anyone who cut any slack.

Yeah, I've done it, but when I'm *really* moving, which isn't that often, I intentionally try to keep it under 100 because of the severity of the consequences.
