Default sounds weird, but he was actually pretty cool

he gave me crap for doing it, told me my gift was driving on, told the exact truth in court, and was incredibly professional. one of the more stupid things i've done........and i paid for it.

Default I have experience with this...

95 in a 65 in the 605N. Fine was $341, fought it using ticket assassin, lost, but went to court on appeal and saw the judge. He gave me the option of going to 12hr. traffic school. I just completed that... all told it cost me ~$400 bucks.

Insurance is not affected - THAT is the best part.

What's ticket assassin, and on what grounds did you appeal?

Default No it doesn't sound weird. I like your attitude...

I find that most don't accept responsibility for their actions. They'll say that the cop was a jerk/AH and was lying or simply out to get them.

Of course, under most circumstances, none of the above is true. In my experience, it's usually the person pulled over who is the jerk, not the officer.

When I do wrong, I stand up and take it like a man and hopefully learn from it. This is exactly what you're doing, which is refreshing.

Now try to keep it under TTriple Digitts, if you can! ;-)

Default www.ticketassassin.com...

I had NO grounds to appeal, but if you follow the guidlelines on ticketassassin, you can do your entire trial by mail. It's a little known process that requires for a number of things to happen - the most important part is that the officer must submit a written account of his/her side of the story and this must be turned in by a certain date.

If the officer fails to turn this in, you get off - this happens about 30% of the time.

Go to the website and see what you can learn - money well spent.
