Just got hit from behind...!!!!!
Geeeez... I was sitting in a parking lot, ready to back out and some idiot pulls right up to me as I'm backing up and we hit. She said that she didn't see my reverse lights so she was pulling behind me to park. I guess she was trying to park on my rear deck...! Anyway... there are some noticeable scratches in the rear piece that has the badges and license plate. Does anyone know how much this piece cost to replace. How about if I order the piece from the dealer painted and put it on myself? Is it easy? Any other cost effective way of fixing this???

It isn't that bad... I didn't want my insurance to go up...
She doesn't even have a scratch on her car. Plus, I don't think that the damage would even cover the cost of my deductable.
it's a sad sad day...

oh ok, i thought it was her fault, misread the post
i cant imagine that an oe bumper would be more than a few hundred dollars if you were trying to go that route. might be a good excuse to do something aftermarket

That rear piece is one big piece....
I had mine replaced when I got hit. Body shop did it all, but I saw the car when it was apart. I know the tail lights and the hatch lid release have to be removed. Don't know much more than that. I'm trying to find the paperwork from the body shop to see how much that piece is. I'll post it if I can find it.
