Keith and his guys over at Wilson Manifolds did a great job on Gary's and my 225 intake manifolds. They did before and after flow test of the manifold and the throttle body for comparison. The numbers are very strong -- a total of 16% increase over stock airflow on average on the runners and a 17cfm increase in the throttle body after modifications.
Here are the numbers broken down:
#1 (before) - 196 cfm - (after) 240 cfm
#2 (before) - 216 cfm - (after) 246 cfm
#3 (before) - 212 cfm - (after) 246 cfm
#4 (before) - 218 cfm - (after) 244 cfm
average before # - 210.5 cfm
average after # - 244 cfm
This is fantastic, plus the very sweet machine work with the Wilson logo (machined on the CNC)

the new manifold with gasket, notice how much closer the opening matches the gasket now

the throttle body. Keith took a lot of material off both ends to open this up as much as possible. Notice that the once round pivot rod has been shaped flatter to obstruct as little flow as possible.
Gary is installing his as I post and will have VAG numbers this evening we hope. I am very excited to get this on my car later on this evening. Wow this is so cool :-))

Wilson Manifolds

did you want them to put their logo on the manifold, or is that something they just do?
What was the cost for the manifold and the TB? Seperate if you have it.
Thanks.

I was more then happy to fly the colors, however, with regard to the logo - you can certainly get the work done and maintain a stock appearance.
The manifold work is $850 at retail and the throttle body work is $550. I am thrilled with a total increase of flow of 16% on the runners. Can not wait to get it on the car :-)

#3 (before) - 53% (after) - 61.5%

It is nice that the pressure readings are much more even now as well :-)

it might not be until Sat or Mon. They were putting the car back together today and asked me to call later in the day tomorrow...
