I actually got pulled over for the expired registration only...how weird is that?
a couple of questions:
Isn't Audi supposed to renew my registration for my leased vehicle?
Anyone else had a similar situation?
Will Audi reimburse me for the fine?
Should I just be slapped for asking that last question?
Thanks for any info!

Default No, it's your responsibility to renew your registration and state inspection, the only thing they

may do is pay you personal property tax, if your state has one,but you will have to reimburse them.

Default You say "your" registration, but it doesn't have my name on it. How +

am I supposed to renew a registration that is registered to Audi and not to me? I know on an earlier lease, they sent me my new registration in the mail, without me asking. I live in NJ...does that make a difference?

Default found final answer+

Audi does send out new registrations for its leased cars, if the state provides them with the information, and/or all connections along the way are met. Such as in the case with my first registration. However, if a disconnect is made, it's "tough titty said the kitty," and the customer is ultimately responsible. Odd...I don't own the car, yet I am responsible for registering it, if Audi drops the ball. Lovely....now I get to go spend hours at a NJ DMV wasting my time for a administrative SNAFU, and I get boinked for a $50 fine. Oohhh, I cannot WAIT until I go on vacation next week.

I believe ... if you bring a valid registration to the police, they will cancel your ticket.

Default In VA I am responsible to pay personal property tax on my leased TT , and i feel the same, why

should I pay since I technically don't own it.

You'd pay directly or indirectly in any case, directly is usually better

Online is way to go. But you still need to take it to those state-run inspection stations, right?
