Default Just had my 20k check up at the new $27 mil. Audi of Rochester Hills dealership[semi-long, rantish]

I called ahead to make sure there were no problems and in order to get a loaner had to wait about 5 days to schedule an appointment. I typed up a list of work to be done (one for the Service Manager and one for the Tech), had my 5 qts. of Mobil 1 in a box and included 2 sixpacks of Labatt's Blue. Bottles, no doubt. MT90 Redline was sold out at one of 2 distributors in Michigan, so nothing new for the gearbox.

"Crap".

I walk the car with the service manager, making sure he sees how clean, shiny and well kept it is (subliminally projecting "keep it this way dealer boy"). I nonchalantly open the hatch to show him the oil and "additional packages" only to have him say, " I haven't had a drink in 13 years".

Again, I say "Crap".

I mention sluggish behavior in 1st and 2nd and suggest it maybe a bad DV, although the car is pretty quiet. He asked why would I think that it was the DV? If he only knew the magic of the Forum. Turns out the diaphram was ripped, so the DV was replaced. It's a lease, remember, so no different DV. I get right front parking bulb replaced. I did ask specifically to do the haldex oil and filter and he said it was done, however, here is what was on the invoice for items related to fluid changes:

06A-115-561-B oil filter
N-013-849-2 Washer
ZVP-000-300 engine oil 9105
1H0-819-644 Filter
ZVP-000-6000 Top Flu
Methinks something is amiss. I realy do not have specific Haldex codes, but it doesn't feel right.

I did get a new ('02 with 7,300 miles) 2.7 A6 for the day (dropped off at 9:30 am, done at 1:11 pm). That car is a rocket!

Finally, I quietly ask at the end of the day, what his thoughts are on mods, any mods. He immediately makes that annoying game show wrong-answer-red-X-over-your-face-buzzer noise. He will not let anything slide.

Three times I say "Crap".

Any comments or advice?

Thanks!!!

Default My feeeling is, if they had worked on the Haldex, it would have been

referenced on your work sheet as they get reimbursed by Audi for those items....at some point, I think Lloyd of the Rings, posted photos on how you can look and see the telltale signs of whether or not they touched the Haldex to replace the fluid...see if you can find those on a search...

not a problem, most places can't give you an appointment within a month anyway :-(

You should have sen this on your invoice, or something like it.

Default Haldex codes inside

02D-525-558-A: HALDXFILTR
G-052-175-A1: HALDEX.FLD

Those were printed on my 20K service invoice. Hope this helps!
