the speaker wires before one of the speakers (or the sub?) and connect it to the line-level input on an amp? Or is that just too simple? I have a 2002 with Bose and want some more bass at louder volumes. Or are their any other simple solutions?...Is it true that with a VAG tool you can unlock the equalizer levels and stuff in the Bose? (I know this has been discussed ad nauseam, but for some reason I'm still a little confused.) Thanks for the help.

Best is to tap into the line-outs from the H/U to another dedicated sub amp.

Default Thanks, I was hoping you would chime in. By the way, about your aux-in adapter...

I've had one for a while and it didn't sound good at all. I just recently figured out that I shouldn't turn the volume on the ipod all the way up. It seems the signal gets distorted or something on the way to the H/U. Anyway, I turn it (volume on ipod) down to about 80% and just turn the H/U up a little to compensate and it sounds perfect! Maybe I missed that in your literature. It might be worth mentioning to future customers (unless I just plain missed it). Thanks.

Question: Are the line outs from the headunit RCA plugs?

Ya, you probably did. Oops. That's what I get for not reading instructions.
