Congrats on the feature (I know you've talked about it on the forum before IIRC).
Too bad it was before the Votex front bumper. It really completes the car very well compared to the stock bumper. I especially like the quote, "One turbo conversion has been 2 weeks away for 9 months, he said." Hmm, I wonder which one he's referring to. On that subject, do you guys think that the kit is going to use Garrett's newly released GT28RS turbocharger? The combination of that little quote and the featurette on this turbo within the "SEMA Stars" section got me thinking this. I do remember that when I asked Hartmann Motorsports last year about the kit, they replied that they were waiting for the right turbo from Garrett. This year (at the LA Auto Show again) I asked them when the kit would be coming out and they told me (sorry I forget when they said).
What do you guys think?

Default Also see nice performance gains with the GT28R turbo here:

HP Gains:
143 whp @ 5500rpm (stock)
226 whp @ 5800rpm
Torque Gains:
158 lb. ft. @ 2800rpm (stock)
232 lb. ft. @ 4700 rpm

That's from just a turbocharger and ECU reprogramming. $2,047.50.

That sounds good to me on that engine, especially with the limited mods included. With all the right things to go with something as major as a turbo upgrade, this thing would make a lot more power. Just food for thought I guess.

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/kits/kit_VW_18T_Transverse.htm</a

Yeah my bad, how are they different? I know the RS probably makes more power but what else?

Default Probably not the right thing to put in the 225 but the RS that came out may be...

Let's see what APR is using in their stage 3 kit soon. Does anyone know exactly what turbo they are using?

Default Thanks! yeah, i wanted to dig at the community on the fact we have little turbo backing.

Dan Barnes quoted me quite well thru the whole thing.

Default was looking on vortex and saw a couple links - running stock oem chip 10 psi

but with software tunning it should be much better I would think.
