Default Key Fob Washed in Washing Machine!

My wife threw my jeans in the washing machine without checking my pockets. I know I know! Anyway, my keys got washed and now my fob doesn't work. I'm going to let it dry out and see if it works. Has anyone else had luck with this or do I need to just buy a new key?

Default Open it up, take the batteries out. Rinse really well, let dry completely and it will be fine. DONT

try an use it while wet.

Possibly grab a new battery, cheap and can be found at Batteries Plus!

I was told (by the dealorship) if you take the batteries out, the fob has to be reprogrammed by the dealorship.

Default Thanks.

I'm going to let it dry real good and replace the batteries. We'll see how it goes.

Well, I'll tell you, mine went through the wash and never worked again, even with fresh batts.
