Default Knocking Noise In First And Second Gear

2000 Audi tt 180 Fwd When taking off in first gear I hear a knocking or clanking noise when letting off the gas to shift into second I also hear it and when I shift into second it also does the same thing but after second gear it does not do it Im not sure if it is in the suspension, clutch or drive shaft. Anyone experience this before?

Default Check the cv joints. Drive to a large parking lot, get the car going

and take it out of gear. Turn left and right and tap the brakes while turning. If you hear the knock, its one of the cv joints (most likely).

I can tell you how to service that. Get a grease gun, a tube of cv joint grease and a hypodermic needle. Stick the needle into the cv joint boot and point the needle away fron the center of the shaft. Put 2 pumps of grease into the boot and drive the car. It takes about 50 miles for the grease to move around in there and coat everything.

This works if the joint is not actually broken.

Default bottom driver's side of transmission...

the mount connects the transmission to the subframe. The bushings are in the mount.
