Default absolutely. Nothing else nearly as appealing that I could afford

performance wise it could be better. But I bought for the overall package, not for raw speed. I will probably look at the 3.2 once this one is paid for.

Default Asked myself that... (YES)

With my TT rear-ended a few weeks back, I decided to blow a wad of cash and rent some of the cars I was thinking of before I bought the TT.

I rented a Mercedes SLK 230. Very nice, very comfortable, love the convertible hard-top. But it didn't feel "fun." I rented a Z3 2.3, it was uncomfortable, loud, the stereo sucked, but it did feel "fun."

The TT gives me both. No one else out there seems to be able to do that at an affordable price.

As an aside, I require a convertible. That sort of limits my choices for other kinds of cars.

That said, the next time I buy I'll definitely be checking out the Z4 (too new--couldn't rent one), the A4 Cabriolet, the next generation TT, and maybe that car from Lotus.
