Default kodeTT: you around man? bmc intake is giving me grief

most importantly, i see no way to fit that metal hose through the intake hole -- it is way too big for the hole. maybe they sent me the wrong kind of hose? hmph.

then there's the matter of the mounting system, which appears disappointing at best :-( looks like i will need to fab something up that's not so ghetto, like hottub did.

Default Hey Meem, if I remeber you had a 225 intake and not the 180 -->

for that huge hose, if you want it to fit through there then you have to cut. I got mine at ttstuff and they gave me a different hose check out there site!

Default the hose that they give you will not fit through the stock inlet opening...

I understand that you have to fit it under the battery. I've never had the experience of installing one, just the TTDA where one hose fits into that slot...but the hose is smaller.

If you'd like, I can ask my friend that installed one. Others here have installed them with no issues and they all look like they fit pretty good with the clamp and all. All I remember hearing is that you have to push the pipe in as much as it will go to clear the side and install the hose on the other end.

Default if you could find out the details, that would be great ...

also with precisely how they mounted it. it's not obvious how to wedge it under the battery.

Default ryan, how did you mount up the bmc?

did you use that erector-set looking thing they provided? or something else? a photo would be very helpful.

Default Meem - I replaced the hose with a 3.25" aircraft hose >

from Schwing's source - Aircraft Spruce, and snaked it behind the battery & down to above the left intake - a real pain, but works great. If you're interested, I've got enough left for another installation; probably $20, shippng incl. - check my pic poster for a look at the installation; I can email you more if interested.

Default Yeah, it is. >

Check for yourself; I was figuring 15, plus shipping. I think I paid like 55 for it, for 6' plus shipping, just btw.
