plus a MAF low voltage. Weird though because it has not happened in since the trip back from A$$ville, and I have logged 100 miles or so since then.
But I did get that code along w/a MAF failure on too.
But WGJ has not exp any perf lag which makes it a bit more difficult to diagnose.

Had this happen twice to me... Finally am trying a hi temp, synthetic lube in hopes that the oils in the lube do not boil/evap off over time....

so I went with the forge. If you maintain it correctly - relube at every 10k or so - you'll be fine.

he checked all hoses and clamps, thought to self "hmm, I have NO IDEA what's wrong..." - then spotted the aftermarket DV - "yahoooo! that MUST be the problem, whew!"
or did he have an actual 'reason' for suspecting the DV?
if indeed your Forge DV is broken, then I agree, you should pay for the labor because it isn't covered by your warranty. Also, it would be reasonable to replace with a stock DV and retest, to verify that it's not the Forge. Of course, even a failed DV doesn't always instantly cause a DTC - so you might be able to drive for a while before you saw clear evidence of a problem (e.g., check light). I dunno if they have any specific tests they can perform that identify a failed DV (other than by noting noises and car behavior under use) - my guess is "not"...
