I LOVE my rt615's in the dry. I cannot emphasize that enough. when driving any car with anything less its just not as good. i have tried kdw2's and potenzas. not nearly as good. They will always stick and look pretty good for having 10k miles on them. its about time for a rotate.
The rain isn't such a good story I'll be honest. They do have a tendancy to hydroplane very easily since they don't really have a radial tread but rather just a zigzag like tread. they are more than driveable in the rain, and I took a trip across the country with them on a friends FWD car in the rain doing over 100, no problem. its the back roads and the flooding that kill it. That friends in san diego now and he dosn't seem to have a problem, thats pretty southern CA.

I have the RT-615's and live in SoCal too (Stock 225). I've taken them to Streets of Willow and Buttonwillow also. The tires are great, very forgiving, and grip extremely well. I use them for daily driving also and have no complaints.
As for wet handling, yeah, it doesn't rain much here, but they were fine during our recent drizzle. Just take it easy like you're supposed to.
As far as wear, I got them about 3 months ago, and after 2 track days, they are a couple millimeters above the wear bars. I suspect after another track day or two, they will make nice slicks.
I'd say the best part about these tires is the price. I have a local shop that sold them them to me for $125 each installed.
Let us know how it goes!
