Default KW V1 problem: helper springs fully compressed?

Hi all, hoping someone has found a resolution to a problem I have. I bought and installed a set of KW V1 coilovers just over a year ago. At the time, I found the suspension to be 'bumpy' at first, as if someone had forgotten to remove the suspension blocks during PDI. I figured I'd let the new coilovers settle first before I look into it.

Fast forward to yesterday, while I was cleaning the front fender liners, I peeked at the coilovers and noticed both helper springs on both sides of the car were fully compressed, parked on a level ground. Is this normal? I suspect that is the reason why the car feels so bumpy even on the slightest dips in the road. Can I adjust it or is something just wrong here?

Thanks in advance!
