Default The larger oil filter...

So I came across a few things while searching which indicate that there is in fact a larger filter available for the 1.8T engine.

The link below is to the PureMS website and the filter in question. I don't know the VW part number, but you can bet that I'll be making the switch during my next oil change.I doubt there's a noticeable difference in temperatures, but of course having more oil and a cooler engine is always better.

Default Have fun fitting it in and getting it out if you actually can fit it in......

VERY tight fit in there and since the TT already has a capacity of near 5 quarts - it's really not necessary. They switched to this filter on the longitudinal 1.8T's because they had a capacity of 3.7 quarts.

Is it so wrong to want the same oil capacity as a 911?

Default nope...but so you know>>>

if you add an oil cooler, you will almost get a full quart more of oil capacity! ;-)

Default I was gonna say this - definitely on the short list of mods to get done....

especially with the hot weather and track days looming ahead. I need to get more info on this from you :-)
