Default Lateral Acceleration Sensor- searched forum and found many with problem but few replys>>>

ESP light comes on once in a while- vagged car and get the same code as others have gotten.

Lateral Acceleation Sensor intermmittent failure codes 57-10 and 27-10.

As mentioned I found others with same codes but no replys as to fix. I assume it's replacement of lateral acceration sensor. Could it be plug/contacts or most probably the sensor itself? Where is the sensor and can it be replaced without much difficulty?

TIA Bob

Default Dealer replaced my lateral sensor due to intermittent ESP light

I can't help you with the code info or exactly what they did.

Default The fix is to replace the sensor.....

Dealer did mine under warranty. I believe it's attached to the firewall though not sure where.

Default you have to replace the sensor>>

the sensor itself is located on the passenger side behind the glove box. you just have to remove the glove box to get to it. after you replace the sensor you have to zero it out with vag-com i believe.

Default same problem here, shortly out of warranty, told it's about a $900 fix. No thanks, Audi.

Mine likes to fuss at sharp left turns only. Apparently it's a sensor that does like 3 other things as well and is thus ?artificially very expensive.

Default I have had this problem since last Oct, have had lateral acceleration sensor replaced twice, wiring

harness and wiring connectors also replaced. Still had recurrent intermittent ABS warning light on. Finally Audi replaced ABS control module and so far problem resolved.

Default

All done under warranty, which was up in April but because the problem was ongoing Audi covered it.
