Latest update I have...
All are mods are optional however there are pre-requisites in that you can't have ESP retro-fitted unless you have the suspension done.
So as far as I know:
If you don't want the mods you don't have to have them.
If you want the spoiler on it's own ..fine
If you wnat the suspension on it's own...fine
If you want ESP then you need to have the suspension mods done(with or without the spoiler)
i.e if you want eveything except the spoiler... fine
There are apparently some strict and weird rules about cars being returned for ESP including that they must be the factory spec. ie no mods, like chips, suspension changes (other than that of the recall) amongst other things and a weird one about only allowing cars back that have the original stereo system......
Additionally I have heard that ESP will only be offered until the end of the year as the Ingolstadt line set to do the ESP retrofits is due to be used for the new A4.
For those who don't particularly want the spoiler it's great news.
There is still no word on any potential ESP retro-fit cost for the UK or timings for the whole sequence of events.

I can't stand the little 'flap' on the boot and feel that it spoils the complete flowing line of the car. Upon asking the Dealer (Carrs of Truro, Cornwall) they informed us that Audi have insisted that ALL factory cars have the spoiler.
So why should you guys get away with it ! (joking)
