Default Latest news from CNN: 2nd debris field found 6 miles from PA plane crash

Perhaps there was a bomb? Perhaps it was shot down?

Yet another twist in this wicked tale...

Default Speculation among professional pilots is that...

1. Either UAL flt 93 was shot down (unlikely)

2. Overpowered hijackers put the jet into a wild dive from cruise at 31k feet, causing the airframe to begin breaking up.

It's interesting that the destination field in the transponder was changed from SFO to DCA enroute. No one on the news seems to be saying much about this.

Good point #2. Especially so given the impact crater.

Default Heros overpowered killers, gained control of aircraft and killers explode bomb?

Won't be difficult to tell if a bomb detonated if that was the case.

Default Wasn't this the plane from which the passenger called from the rest room after locking himself in?

Wasn't there something he said about an explosion before the call went dead?

Any reports of estimated altitude prior to crash dive? W/o transponder that would be tuff to do.

Default Just me wondering out loud but...

On Tuesday, I hear two F16's tailing a jet in Penn. Next I hear a jet has gone down, but with very minimal TV coverage. You would think that the onboard controls of a major airplane would keep it from nose diving into the ground, unless it was say SHOT DOWN. I will bet the black boxes will not be found, and if they are, the info will be very questionable. Just me with my own opinion

Re: How is destination changed? By air traffic control? Manually?

cell phone reports from the plane stated that the hijackers said they had a bomb.
