Default Lease payment - Ouch!

I just got a call from my dealer - good news, my car is in port (SD) should be here in 7-10 days! Bad news - lease payment.....2001 TTQ, premium, audio....Total invoice is about $39,300. My down payment was $1000. Dealer says lease payment will be $656/mo (including taxes) and I will owe about $1000 up front (I'm assuming 1st + security). Does this sound OK?

Let me know the cap cost, residual, lease period, money factor and tax rate - I have a spreadsheet that calculates the lease cost (it produces exactly the same result as the computer at my audi dealer). Are you leasing through Audi finance or another company?

Default Hey, my car payment is $1,150 per month...

Of course I did a 3 year loan to keep the rate down (6.9%), and I've paid down a ton of principal. So I currently only owe about $11,500. Still, that monthly payment is a bear.

Default Makes sense to me

I have the same car, same color, same options and that's what the dealer quoted me. Enjoy the car. I have mine about a month.

Default Sorry - the nums are...

I 'backed into it' using a lease calculator I found on the web - I left a voice mail for my saleswoman to get me the true figures. Adjusted Cap Cost is #38,600, Money factor has to be around .004 (9.6%), Tax rate is 3.8, residual (guess) at 60% or $23,700. These numbers give me the payment I was quoted, so I guess I'm close.

Thanks for the help anyway!

Default If you've got $10k you could buy it for same monthly payment

Mine was a 180 roadster with a couple options: total price was $36,400.

I Put down $8000: 5-year financing works out to $650 a month.

If you've got $10,000 extra you could BUY your TT and finance it over 5 years for the same monthly payment. Trust us: once you get it, you'll wanna keep it forever, rather than give it back to the dealer!

cheers
