Leasing Property Tax question

Leasing Property Tax question
As a new leasee, I have a few quick questions...
Does anyone have a link to states that charge leasees property tax on their cars? I recently moved to Texas from Missouri, and received a large property tax bill from the kind folks at the MO dept of revenue, which I believe was sent in error. Anyone have any insight as to the Property tax rules?
Thanks in advance.

Just happened to a guy at our shop today.....>>>
He got a very nice letter from BMW financial along with a copy of his pers. prop. tax bill. Bill was forwarded to them and they paid it, then sent him a bill for the amount. Basically they said that it was his responsibility and that he had agreed to that in the terms of the lease. I would assume most lease companies work the same way and pass those tax bills along even though (technically) the lease co. is the owner of the car. Read your fine print, it's probably there.

Same. Audi gets my property tax bill because I am leasing and forwards. Here's a booklet
from the State Tax Commission of Missouri
on how property taxes are determined. Guess you were lucky in Texas.<ul><li><a href="http://dor.state.mo.us/stc/property%20tax%20in%20missouri.htm">State Tax Commission of Missouri</a></li></ul>
