tried restarting car, checked for visible/audible leaks, n75 plugged properly, unplugged MAF... could only hit 0.5 BAR. finally pulled the ECU and left unplugged for 5 mins then back to normal. won't have access to VAG com for a while (so won't be able to look for tell-tale dtc's... nothing unusual lately other than the coolest morning for a while here)...
...any ideas why it took a complete ECU reset to resolve??

if all else fails. I put a new filter from the ModShack in and threw a code after 60 miles or so. cleaned the MAF, thinking that it could be because of oil droplets from the filter or something got dislodged when I put it in. good so far.

to clear the adaptation tables. VAG clearing doesn't affect them...Only a complete power down.
They will gradually ease back up to +20% or more and trigger limp again. Usually points to a dirty or failing MAF..
