Default little help please from those with Defi d guage oil temp gauge....

where did you wire in the the four wires for gauge? i know where to wire the ground and the 12v when small light is on but the other two i have no idea. here is the pics of the wires from Defi scroll down the page unitl you see temperature. thanks for the help

Default Only 2 wires needed to make it work. A third wire is used to light the gauge. I connected to......

the ashtray wire harness, which has a "dimmer" wire.

Default Yes, pics inside............>>>>

There are two jacks on the ashtray. One for the power plug/lighter and one for the LED lights that are connected to the dimmer switch.

The black jack with the blue and brown wires is the one for the dimming LED's.
The blue wire is power and the brown wire is ground.

The lower prong in the black jack is power. This will match up to the wire harness that connects to it. Trace it back and tap that wire for your dimming power source.
