Default Lock/Light Bug

After having my car on order for 7 months, I finally took delivery of my Lake Silver 225TTQC last Friday. This is an October production model.

Much to my surprise, this car experiences the lock/light bug where, if you lock the doors before starting the car, the central lock will not unlock the doors and the dome and vanity lights won't work.

The dealer does not seem to know how to fix this problem. Can anyone describe the exact fix (it looks like this is a software problem). Thanks.

Default Missing/bad ground in central locking module

Apparently they must all come off the production line this way. :-(

Audi's service tech line knows all about the problem and the fix, so all your dealer's service dept. should need to do is call them.

Bill,

Thanks. The only problem I have is that I called the service department at my dealer, and they had no idea what I was talking about.

what's even funnier. I told them how to reproduce this problem and when i got the car back, they said they couldn't repro. They just replaced the central locking device. I still have the bug...
i'll have to wait for the 5k service.
