Any recommendations? I went to Carlsen Audi in Palo Alto last time, but that ended up being $1100; I was hoping to have it done for less

Default http://www.peninsulaautomotive.com/

they are mostly a VW shop with a ton of restoration work, but do audi work as well. mine wasn't the first TT timing belt they have done. another guy on here (johnchavez) used them and told me. the cost was $710 total (parts, labor, tax), and they even rented me a car since it wasn't done on time. it was a very legit excuse - the mechanic's aunt had passed away and he had to get some legal stuff done since he was the executor. anyway, they're great people and do very good work.

Default Anyone taken their TT to Burlingame Independent?

Haven't been there in many years since I sold my 4000. Owner is a good guy, also into racing VWs.

I just did mine myself instead of going to Carlsen Audi. ~$350-$400
