Don't have a real preference. Apparently there are some kits that can provide a metal impeller pump but I believe that now what's available is the "new and improved" plastic one.

Default Problem solved

Replaced the thermostat this weekend. Low temperature problem resolved. Dash temperature gauge needle goes to the center and stays there. Scangauge reports coolant temperature, while the car is moving, at a steady 193 deg F. Temperature rises when stuck in traffic, with the fans kicking in at about 202 deg F. Once driving resumes temperature goes back down to 193 deg.
