Lowering Seat height further than range of adjustment..

I am not that tall, just 6', however I would like to sit lower in my coupe so I can see "more" out the windscreen. Less looking into the sunvisor, more "sky" and the road ahead. I've had the whole driver's seat out and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to drop the frame lower so I took the seat squab off and took it to a motor trimmer. Not much foam in there to take out....it would be easy if I wanted to go UP, simply ADD more foam...Anyone have a solution or suggestions??

They had foam removed from their S4 seat at an auto upholsterer's; perhaps someone can guide you to the URL.
No one that I know of has tried that with a TT seat, though...

I'm 6'4", and the height is tolerable, except, I'd feel safer with better peripheral vision (upper left and upper right).
Someone suggested a shop that might be able to make the mechanical modifications, but that was many months ago before I got my toy. Now that my TT is 3 days old, I'm thinking about this again.
I'd even give up adjustability (to some extent) if I could lower the seat. I'd sure hate to make permanent mods though that I couldn't back out when I die and my heirs have to sell the car
