Default Lunatic!

Yesterday I was driving with the top down, down a one-lane road, in moderate traffic. A delivery truck was behind me and I could see he was impatient, but there were cars ahead of me, a double yellow line, so he couldn't pass me.
Finally the road widened to accomodate a left turn. I signaled for a left turn, went into the left lane, and waited at the light for the turn arrow.
The jackass in the delivery truck came up beside me on the right, yelled, "Pretty car but you drive like an a**hole!!!" and zoomed away.
Is there suddenly a national shortage of Prozac?

Not a problem with the Coupe! - You're able to block out the outside world!-as much as possible :-)

Default Lots of morons... just drive away.

Was rudely "saluted" by an Eclipse driver the other day -- no reason for it, just a MBW (Moron Behind the Wheel).

Sad though it is, when you drive a nice car, you become a target for the ire of others. I'll leave the outraged spluttering to Rahul, but the only recourse (short of gunning down the miscreant) is to drive on and not encourage/escalate the madness.

Default My least favorite TT trick (rant)

Apparently, the TT has mind control powers at lights, when passing someone under normal highway passing conditions, when pasing someone on the street in normal passing conditions, and just in general when you get near another vehicle.

It's mind control option seems to be particularly strong on Toyota Camry & Corollas, Chevy S10s, Monte Carlo, V6 Camaros, Ford V6 Mustangs, Cobras, Focus, Taurus, and especially Taurus SHOs. However I've found Dodge Intrepids have the absolute worst reactoins.

Apparently, when the TT gets within between 5 - 15 ft of the vehicle the vehicle suddenly becomes erratic, accelerates wildly, accelerates next to a slower moving vehicle and slams on the brakes blocking both lanes and generally causing a hazard, crosses 4 lanes of traffic to get in front of the TT at 5 - 15 mph slower than the TT is going, weave through traffic during rush hour (ok, in KC, rush hour is defined as traffic moving at 60 mph bumper to bumper, only to slow down when a TT is near because the wild lane changing feature against other vehicles causes an accident, I **** you not)

Saturday was the last experience (plus the last day I drove it). Pretty heavy traffic, but moving at a good speed. I accelerate onto the highway to merge in at my usual pace (meaning, I'm at the speed limit on the on ramp). Mr DirecTV Installer Truck doesn't like this apparently and proceeds to play thread the needle with traffic, only to **** of a Cobra Mustang (99 - 02), an S8, and a Toyota Camry. Only to have all THREE weaving through bumper to bumper traffic causing cars to slam on brakes everywhere.

Cops were out in force, they didn't get the direcTV guy but they got the S8 and the camry.

Of course, to add insult to injury, as I proceed home at a leisurly 75 - 77 mph, I pass the DirecTV truck on the highway in a 70MPH zone doing 60 - 63 about 15 min later and he flips me off.

I swear to god, all I did was enter the highway. I had no desire to play in heavy traffic, I just wanted to go home and take a nap. I had to get up 6am on saturday after going to bed at Midnight for my network securities class.

Sheesh

Default Did you contact his people? I would have his head brought to me on a silver platter...

With or without parsely, depending on your (dis)like of said garnish... ;-)

Default That's exactly why I opted for this factory option.

Default There was no writing on the truck; just a basic

quintessential white delivery van.
Good idea though.

Default Oh well - I think the basic problem is people just say whatever the "f" they feel like saying with

no thought as to the effect of those words, and without any ownership of them - I think their bull**** and bravado should be called as often as possible. If the guy wants to call you an *******, while driving a corporate vehicle, aggressively, I think it is a justifiable action to call his boss and ask if such behavior is part of their pr/marketing plan... :-)

Either way, sorry it happened - there's lots of a$$holes out there... :-(
