I've had a UUC short shifter in my A4 and it was great but what a pain to get in. I've done a search for the TT and it doesn't sound much better or easier. Yea, they all say 30 to 45 minutes and it took me close to 2 hours and a break in between to gain my composure.
Although, the M2 **** does not actually shorten the throw, it does shorten the overall height which I'm not crazy about in the TT. Anyone notice a difference installing an M2 **** or any of the Auto Aesthetics ***** that do shorten the height of the shifter?
Thanks in advance for any input and experience. Let the mods begin!!!!

I have one of the sphere ***** and they shorten the height just by letting the inner shaft go farther in/up the **** compared to the oem ****. (the AA **** just sits lower by ~1 inch)
All that's involved is
1. remove 8 torx screws
2. unscrew the oem ****
3. remove the lower outer shaft from the boot (this is the hardest part and isn't really hard at all)
4. put the new lower outer shaft in the boot
5. move the black plastic piece from the oem part to the new part
6. screw the stuff back together
7. screw the new **** on
Best of luck.

It definitely shortens the height of the shifter. The Raffi **** is threaded on the _top_ of the ****, so if you remove your OEM shift ****, you'll see where the top of the Raffi **** would be (give or take).
As far as shifting goes, It doesn't really affect the performance. I'm still thinking of installing a Deisel Geek SS.
There are several posts here on how to do the install, and it seems to have gone fairly well for most.

getting my new TT in a week so I removed my raffi ****(Auto Aesthetics sphere 2 I think) and diesel geek ss. It feels like I am rowing a boat now. Diesel geek shortens the throw but not the shifter, but the raffi **** shortens it a bit. The 2 combined make for a completely new exp. I cannot emphasis this more. It is just crazy obvious after having that combo for 8 months how bad the OEM set-up is. I get my new car Sat am and these parts will be on it by satpm.

If you don't like the short look of M2, I can always make it stock height or 3 1/8 see picture, you will have longer middle section but the top will stay the same.
Let me know if you wish to do this. thank you.
