Default MAF just gave-up...

I took a road trip from MI to Tampa, FL (about 1,200 miles). After 4-years of my ownership, the MAF finally gave-up. The car jerked real bad, then ESP light came on and stayed on. I tured off the car, and ate lunch... back on the car... now I have a check engine light on along with an ESP light. I called the nearest Audi dealer... and they confirmed that the MAF is faulty. ........... the warrnty work was denied......... cuz... the advisor told me I have TTDA....... I didn't argue with him... I paid the 1-hour labor and left the place... Anyways... would somebody tell me part # for MAF from VW dealer? or Can I pick up a MAF from a German Auto parts store? I want to replace and see if it clears the codes before I head back to MI... Thanks for your help.

Default VW MAF is 06A-906-461-A, but get the one specific to your engine. Suffix would then end in 'X', as

in 06A-906-461-EX for my AMU motor

You can go to the VW dealer and they can look it up for you as well

Default looks like I have to go w/o replacing...

Do you think... I will make it back to MI without replacing a MAF?
