MAF sensor replacement with a VW part

I talked to the parts guy at Bill Jacobs VW today, and he said he would sell me one of the MAFs they have in stock ($58) if I bring in my VW VIN. That way he can order another one. I took a VIN off a 2001 Jetta on eBay, so I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. If they give any problems, I'll call West Suburban.
