Man, you think Audi could make it any more difficult to fix a fallen-through window switch.

Default Man, you think Audi could make it any more difficult to fix a fallen-through window switch.

My passenger side window switch fell through, apparently the holder was unsecured, probably from me or someone else taking off the door and pulling the handle too far. Here's what I had to do to fix it:

1. Remove door.
2. Remove handle and metal cover that goes around switch.
3. Pull back insulation on back of door, disconnect switch and remove assembly.
4. Remove switch from assembly.
5. Put assembly back under the opening on the door.
6. Put the handle and metal cover back on so that it engages with the assembly on both sides (this is what fell off and let the switch fall)
7. Reconnect switch and put back into assembly. I did all this putting my hands down through the insulation from the top inside of the door.

The way the switch is set up, the switch itself cannot be its holder if you want that holder to slide into the metal cover.

Ok, overall it's not *too* difficult, but I think it's a quite interesting how they design these parts to fit into each other.
