MAP Sensor Mods?

I've been searching the forum for anyone who has attempted to mod the MAP sensor with no luck.
Why couldn't you "fake" the output of the sensor, and make the ECU think the boost is lower then the actual pressure? The ECU would then keep the wastegate closed longer, increasing boost.
IF this would work, we need to know if the MAP Sensor output is analog or digital. If it's analog, this is very easy. If it's digital, it will be a bit more work, but shouldn't be too hard.
Any thoughts?

From what I've read in the forum, the engine ignores the MAF at full throtle, and relies only on the MAP sensor (Manifold Air Pressure), which is the actual boost pressure.

an exhaust and chip will be enough to max out a K03 in terms of boost.
mod'ing the MAP sensor will probably lead to harmful overspooling.
a cheap mechanical boost controller might be more effective too.
that being said, this seems like a potentially novel way around messing with the N75, and i'm not trying to flame. just throwing out my humble opinions. i think it might be more trouble than it is worth tho...

As it is I havent heard mention of anything even being examined in regard to the MAP sensor. Its an area that could be investigated for sure.

But not related to the topic at hand. They're mostly about what I'll have for lunch, who will I invite to the Charger game this weekend, when will consumer sentiment improve? That sort of thing.

With some simple plumbing of the N75 line. That's what controls the wastegate. There are also simple controllers you can plumb into that line as well. Doesn't alter the Max boost, but can be tailored to come on earlier (IE not vent the wastegate). Go over to Vortex/technical/1.8T forum for lots of info. Also read the article below. You don't want to induce a lot of boost early, but the thoughts are the fuel maps can handle about 2 psi more,

Audi DIY Boost controller

I've got to do some Lamda VAG runs but the A/F gauge shows all is well as far as mixture. This was done with MAF mods, free flow intake, FMIC and exhaust....Hit my link and go to perf' graphs for some readouts. I don't have the latest (and the best) posted from yesterday yet...
