did some archive surfing, and learned that high beams are H7's, and '01 fogs are H1's. (I have Xenon lows)
Wondering what the max wattage some folks have succesfully used for the H7? I know in some apps bonzai wattages can do heat damage.... I am coming close to outdriving the stock high-beams at night, and more light would be nice, but don't want to screw up the OEM housing/reflector/etc

Just put in 80W, wires are scrawny. Ran H1 100W years ago, short fat wires & relays, they put out a lot of heat - would not recommend. Will post if problems surface.

I recently replaced mine and know this for sure. I too have an '01 with xenon lows.
And be careful with the wattage for the highs, OEM is 55W. I would not go higher than 70-80W for not only the housing issue, but also the possibility of burning out the switch and/or wiring.
