Default wow, i always thought people giving each other cars for christmas was a joke :-O

i mean no offense, but i'd expect a couple to make a decision like that together, given that such a purchase is highly dependent on personal preference and couples are financially linked. or am i missing something here as part of the great unmarried unwashed?

Default i thought so too.....

i was talking about this with my wife just yesterday, after we saw one of those car commercials with bows on top of the cars, talking about the 'perfect gift'....

but i suppose if someone knew what their spouse sort of wanted, then it wouldn't be so far out to bust out for a car......pretty cool if it works out well i suppose...i'm guessing J. Patterson's wife is probably quite pleased!

Default i think i'd need to know more ...

if it's something that i'd been actively talking about with my spouse and it just coincidentally lined up with christmas, then i can see putting a bow on it as a fun way to tie it to the season. otherwise, i think it completely misses the point of christmas and is likely to cause more problems than it solves, especially when it's coming out of a common coffer.
