would be more picky of course, as we are into this stuff....i mean, if my wife got me a beige leather seated Lexus as a christmas present i'd be PISSED! lol. If you take out your own perspective, and simply put a spouse-who-isn't-obsessed-with-cars perspective...it all changes a bit.
but i can only speak on behalf of my wife, when i say that i know the range of cars she likes (about 4 of 5 different cars) and i think if any of those showed up with a bow on them, she'd be pretty happy i think....and there are ways to find out about the colours y'know....if you're married, there are invisible requirements that we KNOW these sorts of things! haha![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
and like you said, if you were gonna get a car anyway (had decided to get it after christmas) then it's quite a nice surprise to have it given early, with all the decisions already made (they like that stuff don't they? whereas we wanna make those decisions!)....IMO

of surprising my wife with a new Passat several years back. She loved it (I included some Kate Spade handbags in the trunk and told her that it was the special "Kate Spade edition").
Anyway, after a while she didn't care for it since she's petite (5'2") and didn't feel comfortable in it - felt she had to sit too close to the steering wheel. She still liked the car just "wound't have gotten another one."
Lesson learned - I "surprised" her with the next car (Lexus RX) but had her test drive it first...
She's not a "car person..."
