Hello All,
Just got news that a colleague of mine, who happens to be first on the list for a 225 Roadster in Michigan, is falling to the Boxster S side and has arranged with his dealer to have me take his waiting place. Might be seeting it by June or so. General question: does anyone know if the cars shipped to Michigan are "smogged" the same as the California cars? Is Audi even making different, "non-California" cars? This and any other insights into issues I need to consider in this trans-state transaction would be welcomed.

Ask the Audi Dealer about the emissions question. They can answer this based on all of the other Audi's they sell, the TT is not going to be any different from any other Audi.
California as far as I know has a totally seperate emissions setup for ALL cars sold in that state. You can begin by alos calling the CA State DOT, or even CARB themselves. Both organization should be able to answer your questions.
I bought my car in CT and regged it in NY. Luckily we now have the Northeast emissions, which are pretty similar to the ones in CA.
