Default Mini-Rant: It's truly a shame to see sooooo many people my age and younger playing golf...

What happened to sex/drugs/rock & roll... I mean, REALLY, what golfer ever died in a pool of his own vomit? The endless pursuit of dimpled, white, rubber-cored, soulless spheres, carrying sticks of improbable composition and cost, at more and more mind-numbingingly well groomed pastures of privelege... How boring are these people going to be when they're "middle aged"? What will their politics be? Will they view Rush Limbaugh as a founding member of the Old Skewl liberal right? Will they all drive 2wd SUVs?

Grrrrrr!!! >:-(

Default You must have missed the news story about a golf course in LA.....

yesterday getting busted for having prostitutes on the course.

I'll keep all of the jokes that come to mind off of this forum (there are tons).

Default I've actually come full circle. I started playing golf when I was 17 and quit two years ago.

I suddenly realized I was never going to be good at the game and simultaneously realized what an unbelievable wast of time it was. I quit and haven't looked back. I live a much more fulfilling life these days.

Default Yes indeed, but have you seen the cool trails a golf ball makes after you hit it and...

you just begin to peak on shrooms? ... Me neither ;-)

I think you should start a support group - just so people know recovery is possible.

Ya know Rahul, it takes extraordinary vision and confidence to play golf well. Not for you eh? ;-)
