I just installed the ECS drilled/slotted/cadmium coated front and rear rotors with Mintex Red Box pads, but something kinda akward is going on. The brake system was not opened (no line was removed) but the brake feels very spongy to the extent that the pedal travels almost to the bottom when braking hard, nothing like it was before I worked on it (yeah, guess I screwed it up). The car brakes but not as it is supposed to so I bled the complete system and changed the fluid to ATE, no signs of air was found at any wheel. The pads look very 'dusty' for a pad with less than 5 miles on them and the chanfers are gone. It feels like the pad is "sponged up" and needs more bedding. anyone with this issue? I'm going to drive it some more to see if it beds up or what.

Now that I think about it, I encountered this once myself a long time ago, bled the brakes 3x to no avail, but it went away on its own after a good bit of driving. That was probably the culprit.

Same symptoms you describe. Ended up being defective pads. There was an A or S4 that had a similar experience. I'm running EBC Greens and everythings great. Porterfields should work well too.
[edit] Check the pads for signs of cracking and general disintegration. Mine looked like they were run over by an entire division of M1 tanks. ECS gave me a full refund.

Mintex do tend to feel a little lighter in bite than stock pads.
Having said that, you should not be experiencing any accelerated wear rate or excessive dusting.
If they are wearing at an abnormally high rate, or heavily dusting, contact your supplier or Mintex directly.

till they bottomed, then did the install, after bleeding all of them, the parking brake works half-way, as it presses but no real braking. On roads, the brakes do work, but really los, like there is air on the lines or sponges instead of pads.... going for a drive and be back soon (hope so, if brakes don't fail!)
