Default misfires suck

Saturday my car started behaving strangely, under hard acceleration around 4k rpm I'd get a pretty nasty shuddering feel thru the car. It felt like something slipping and the vibration felt like it was coming from the rear axle. Some folks here calmed my nerves by suggesting it might be misfires and not a grenaded haldex. I had a haldex service done at the dealership today along with packs and plugs (I'm at 59k miles anyway) and the haldex oil looked fine and the problem is gone so looks like it was misfiring.
Thanks again for the replies, they kept me off the edge of the cliff when I was thinking I might have a serious repair bill on the way

Default Similar circumstance for me also. Replacing plugs and coilpacks this week.

If this doesn't work, time to take my car apart and start unit testing parts.

Default Depending on mileage, it may be time to >>

change plugs and/or coilpack. Had that happen on my friend's GTI VR a couple of days ago. 2 of the wires were not delivering spark to the plugs. Replaced plugs and wires and car is as good as new.
