Default Mixed emotions: My Roadster is officially for sale

I went to McDonald Audi to make a deal on my new allroad. The money the used car manager offered me was an insult. On the flip side, the price on the allroad was decent (I went through Costco car purchasing). Needless to say, I walked away from the dealer. If I can sell the TT before they get a contract on the allroad, they will not only keep up their end of the deal, they will pass the sale through the dealership to protect the buyer and help me out.

I'm hoping to make a quick sale. I've got 2 weeks to get it sold before I move to San Francisco. NADA is $36,200. I'm asking $34,500 OBO to make a quick sale.

http://watkinsglen.bverticals.com/audiworld/market/AdDisplay.asp?AdNumber=27337&</a

Default What did they offer you for yours? They offered me $26K. I told them to take a flying fu#k at a

rolling doughnut. Hence, my TT is up for sale on Ebay. 1100 hits in two days, but only three bids so far.

Default They offered $28k. Don't we get tired of hearing the old saw,

"The Kelly Blue Book/NADA guide has never sold a car." or, "Those numbers aren't based on actual sales."

I mean, what, people sit around dreaming up these numbers and get paid to do so? They're based on something!

Default Yeah, and I really love, "Well, $26k is all we could get for your car if we sold it at auction.

Auction? What? I told the guy, "If you can't sell a TT roadster, during the spring-time, you are maybe in the wrong line of work." He got kind of snippy after that too. What a ******. My dealer prides itself on being the number one volume dealer in the USA, but they can't sell a pristine condition TTRQ? Yeah, I was born at night, but I wasn't born last night!!

Default Sorry too hear, but in the big picture, it's just a car and there are always more. Good luck.

I tried to send you an email. I am briniginn my car in for an alignment before TT-East and wanted to have the spacers on before. Any idea when or if you are still parting out your car?
