MK1 - question TTSchwing out there.....

Is the MK1 the only part of the recall that changes the feel - can I get the recall and then put them back on? I have driven others with the recall - ng.

Were involved. All change the "Feel". It's unlikely the dealer would give you the old ones as they may need them for warranty reimbursement. (They are billed for the kit parts and reimbursed later after the job goes through an approval process). Most of the MK 1 arms that floated around for awhile either were saved from early cars, or "liberated" by knowing dealer personnel after AOA inspected parts and told them to throw them away. (I believe <wink> that's where mine came from). They are all but impossible to find now.
Many Manufacturers require a dealership to hold onto parts for a period of time in case they want to do warranty audits. After a set period of time or an inspection, the parts are generally thrown away. Audi would rarely take a part back unless they wanted to do a technical inspection on it...

so you recommend keeping the total setup until I can afford the bilsteins?, then ttda and chip -
it will be my 5th giac chip - i was holding on until they did the flash loader for the 2000 - no such luck. thanks again for you imput.
